Dojo Spotlight: 5 Minds Martial Arts Launches CRAWL!

5 Minds Martial Arts Implements CRAWL Parent & Toddler Program in Huntsville, Alabama

This past weekend, 5 Minds Martial Arts in Huntsville, Alabama hosted a CRAWL parent & toddler demo class that brought local families onto the mat. The event was a huge success and marked the beginning of a brand-new program for the academy. Starting next Saturday, families in Huntsville will be able to enroll their children ages 2–4 in the CRAWL Parent & Toddler Martial Arts Program.

Why the CRAWL Program Matters

The CRAWL program is designed specifically for toddlers and parents to train together. Families bond while children develop important life skills such as coordination, confidence, respect, and focus through fun, age-appropriate martial arts activities. Programs like CRAWL help dojos teach important values, build stronger youth pipelines, and introduce martial arts to families who may be stepping onto the mat for the first time.

The Five Minds Leadership Team

At the heart of Five Minds Martial Arts is a leadership team dedicated to building a family-friendly, professional, and community-driven academy. Among them, Deven and Heidi stand out for their warmth, humility, and hospitality. Alongside their team, they have created a dojo environment that is clean, welcoming, and committed to serving families in Huntsville.

It is inspiring to see dojo leaders who are not only focused on growing their academy but also on helping judo and martial arts grow in Alabama. Their dedication to community values sets 5 Minds apart and makes them the perfect dojo to launch a CRAWL program.

Gratitude & Excitement for Growth

We are so grateful to Deven, Heidi, and the entire 5 Minds community for their hospitality and energy during this demo event. Watching the excitement from families on the mat reminded us of why CRAWL exists: to bring people together, introduce martial arts at the youngest ages, and create a foundation for lifelong growth.

As Five Minds Martial Arts launches their new program, we cannot wait to see their academy grow and judo continue to spread across Alabama.
